Magic Find Summoner Alchemist

Character: Completed(10/1/2024)

God Tier Gear: Incomplete

10/1/2024

It took me a month to finally complete my Magic Find Summoner Alchemist; within the past 2 months, I spent about an hour every other day leveling this character. If I had more free time, then I would have done this whole project alot faster. Alas, mind you, I am only human, who needs to sleep. According to my character's journal, it took around 36 hours, 54 minutes, and 22 seconds to reach the maximum level for my character. The maximum level of my character is level 100. I've also reached the maximum fame of 55, which is the "Unattainable" rank. The amount of time spent on this character is not actually true; it actually took about 30 hours to reach the maximum level and fame. I spent 7 hours of that accrued time sleeping, "AFK"(Away From Keyboard), accidentally leaving the game running while I did other things such as chores, and goofing off doing random things. For each level of the Shadow Vault, I have gained roughly one level. Every level takes around 5 to 15 minutes to complete, depending on how vast the map is and the amount of enemies encountered. It took me roughly 25 hours to reach the maximum level of 100; however, getting fame experience works differently. By completing quests and defeating champion monsters, I gain fame experience. Give or take, it might have taken an extra 7 hours to reach the maximum fame. The fact that I have the "Adventurer" skill and items that increases experience helped me exponentially, so I reached the maximum level and rank faster than anticipated. Although my playthrough was in easy difficulty, I was also in hardcore mode, which means that if I die once, my character is no longer playable and its items unrecoverable. Since it was hardcore mode, I played extra careful; I bet if I have played on softcore, I would have beaten it within 4 hours, but it is not fun skipping content and rushing through levels just to reach the final boss, Ordrak. The way I completed this character are three easy states of being, which is to be consistent, persistent, and methodical.

You may wonder about my itemization. I don't have godly or top tier gear. What I found is what I kept, so I didn't have much options. Also, the NPC vendors and the NPC Enchanter didn't give me anything but junk, so luck plays a huge role in successful itemization. You may say that my character is incomplete without all the godly gear. There are boundless amount of items in this game and endless amount of enchants; I would have to play this game to the grave in order to get the highest enchants. It also takes alot of luck to find certain items. Anyways, I consider my character complete. Itemization doesn't have to be god tier to survive through this game; a keen eye is required to pick the right items to use as gear. At the end of the day, survival, plus a decent amount of damage output, is all that matters in hardcore difficulty and reaching the next level without any close calls or hiccups(death in other words). Low tier items with the right survival stats, as well as the right amount of damage output, is all that is required.

I had alot of fun playing this character, but the main focus of this character is to farm items. This alchemist is a magic find character after all. It has occurred to me that enchanting or "rolling" gear is expensive, so I've decided to create another character for that, which will be a secret for now. Anyways, I think the main objective is to finally get Very Hard Difficulty, Hardcore Mode characters up and running. Very Hard difficulty is just that. It requires alot of effort to roll one godly item. Hopefully, I'm lucky enough to get at least one, so that I can finally beat Very Hard difficulty.

I want to preserve this character just in case files get corrupted or lost, so I decided to upload it to the net. If you'd like to play my character and take a look at my "mules", then I have them uploaded on the net for you play.

Here's link one: Download Magic Find Summoner Alchemist From CATBOX(Right Click and "Save As")

Here's link two: Download Magic Find Summoner Alchemist from ANONYMFILE(Right Click and "Save As")

Here's a one time download link if the above links don't work: Download Magic Find Summoner Alchemist from FILE.IO

Please send me an e-mail or message if the link is broken, so that I can re-upload the file.

After downloading the "mfsummonalchemist.zip", unzip the file. There are tutorials on the internet about unzipping files if you are new to this filetype.

After unzipping "mfsummonalchemist.zip", Copy/Cut the "Save" folder to:

"/users/gaming/AppData/Roaming/runic games/torchlight". Other operating systems may have a different directory, so it is best to ask around in Torchlight forums to find where your savefiles are located.

If done correctly, then you'll be able to play my character with its multitude amounts of mules. Enjoy!

After about 3 months, I finally found a week of free time to play Torchlight. The past 3 months was gruelling and tiresome that I couldn't find any time for myself. Anyways, I intentionally deleted my previous magic find summoner alchemist because I accidentally invested points into the wrong skill. Unfortunately, there was no way of reversing this, so I took a deep breath, deleted the Alchemist, and replaced him with another Alchemist. After 7 hours of playing time, I finally defeated the final boss, Ordrak. Of course, I didn't play 7 hours straight; it was within a span of a week for me to defeat the final boss, Ordrak. Within my journal, it says that I have played for 10 hours; this is entirely not true. 3 hours of the journal's time is actually me falling asleep on my keyboard(almost killing my character). It was a strange evening when my body kept getting weaker and weaker while my eyelids were twitching. My eyelids finally closed. As soon as I woke up from my sleep on top of my keyboard, I realized that 3 hours had passed. Surprisingly, my character was still alive. Before I slept, I vividly saw my character being swarmed by a massive wave of monsters. My alchemist's minions had done away with all the monsters on the screen without my participation. You don't need to do much with a summoner alchemist on easy difficulty/hardcore mode. Heck, I think I can play the whole game while blind-folded. I'm somewhat ready to build "Very Hard Difficulty" characters now, but this may take a while to accrue efficient items for my new characters. My goal for my current alchemist is to find more gear, max out his level/fame, and to accumulate as much gear as I can. The worst part of all of this is the enchanting, which is the most time consuming part of the game.

I'm temporarily putting my Hardcore Destroyer(Very Hard Difficulty) on the shelf from now on. I almost died about 50 times, so it is about time to stop playing him until, of course, I find new items. There's no way I could find better items, so my last resort is to create a character that can find items and upgrade my equipment. Recently, the character that I made and completed the first act with was a character who I never used before: the Alchemist. The cool part of playing the Alchemist is that he can use magic find equipment and survive hardcore; the best way to play a magic finder is to let the minions do all the dirty work. The build I have in mind is the summoner build on Easy mode. This is to ensure that I can accumulate enough gold to enchant equipment without having to worry about dying prematurely. This will increase the chances of my Hardcore Destroyer in completing Very Hard difficulty. It is rather awful that my progress with my Destroyer is at a screeching halt, but this is the only way that I can survive and complete the higher acts. I hope my Alchemist doesn't die. *Crosses Fingers*

VIDEO GAME FOOTAGE OF MY MAGIC FIND ALCHEMIST

I'm censored, shadow-banned, and/or canceled on youtube(I wouldn't be surprised if I'm censored on neocities as well), so I have to use another video hosting website. "Freedom of Speech" is just lip service at this point in time; in other words, "Freedom of Speech" doesn't exist. Only conformists, priviledged individuals, elite families, or those part of the "club" can speak their minds on the internet without any repercussions. With limited services at my disposal, I've chosen MP4UPLOAD to host my Torchlight footage. MP4UPLOAD is notoriously known for pop-up advertisements to make revenue; if you don't like ads popping up and being played, then simply click out of the pop-up window or install a pop-up blocker. Keep in mind that I do not control the type of advertisements that MP4UPLOAD attaches to my videos.

CHARACTER

My Magic Find Summoner Alchemist, mahjekfyndur, has finally finished easy difficulty, hardcore mode. Now, I'm able to farm gear and gold to purchase god tier items from NPC vendors. This was a timely project, but it is well worth it for the overall progression of other created characters in Very Hard Difficulty.

Character
Equipment

My Magic Find Summoner Alchemist is actually very simple to equip.

Equipment that you should be looking for:

1)Health(This is a staple for hardcore mode.)

2)Resistances(Finding and upgrading gems is a must.)

3)Armor(This mitigates a ton of damage.)

4)Shield with the most block.

5)One slot of gear should have reflect missiles. The higher percentage, the better. A plus is how much damage is reflected.

6)Pistol with the most damage/DPS. If you have an empty socket, then put a skull in it to steal health from monsters.

7)The rest of the gear should be increasing minion damage. Who cares about minion speed and health. Minion speed is unnecessary in all situations, especially in hardcore, where you want to be careful. You can simply re-summon them if they get eliminated.

8)Gear that reduces damage isn't a must, but if you could find one, then wear it.

9)Last, but not least: Magic Find. If you have found all the gear above, then get the highest % of magic find to get unique drops. It is better to have gear with more damage than magic find because of diminishing returns. Magic find gives you an opportunity to find gear, not a guarantee to find gear. It is best to have one piece of gear with high magic find %. Do not make the "newbie" mistake of wearing all magic find gear without any sort of damage.

Spells

I use charm spells because minion damage found in gear increases charm spells.

Charm Spells that I use:

1)Summon Zombies VI: When you use zombies, they give you life after they hit their opponent. This is a must in hardcore mode. The drawback of zombies are their slow movement. The 3 summoned zombies also look confused most of the time.

2)Summon Skeleton VI: This undead creature does alot of damage.

3)Summon Archers VI: You summon 8 undead archers, but they are immobile. It is best to summon them right in front of champions or bosses. If they aren't summoned properly, then they are pretty much useless unless you are able to bait enemies to them.

4)Summon Blood Skeleton: This is a very rare charm spell that you can either find from monster drops or from purchasing from an NPC vendor. This summon is as strong as Summon Skeleton VI. Don't let the title deceive you. Although there is no "VI" or any roman numeral behind its name, it is a strong summon.

Skills

Priority 1 Skills:

Nether Imp: This summons a total of 6 blue creatures. The only drawback about this summon is that they require a corpse to summon. They also have low resistances; you'll notice this when you fight elemental enemies such as red dragons. Nether Imps die fast against those flames.

Pet Mastery: Max this out as soon as possible for your minions. It also sends your pet back faster after sending it to town.

Summon Alchemic Golem MkUltra: This summon does a strong spin attack. The fact it can be summoned without a corpse is a useful aspect to defeat overwhelming champions.

Summon Beam Golem: The beam actually does alot of damage, but the Golem itself is very squishy. I often find this particular summon to die frequently compared to the rest of my minions.

Burning Bind: Max this out to increase all your minions' damage.

Frailty: I maxed this out to help my minions do damage to monsters with high health. You'll find high health monsters in the lava stage.

Priority 2 Skills:

Charm Spell Mastery: This increases the damage of Summon Skeleton, Summon Zombies, Summon Archers, and Summon Blood Skeleton. Max this out after getting your main summons.

Priority 3 Skills:

Block and Perry: I maxed this out. Although I'm never near any enemy monsters at all, it is nice to know that I can block a hit when I accidentally position myself near attacking monsters.

Critical Strikes: I maxed this out because I use pistols. You'll notice a huge damage buff with this skill.

Ember Phase: Put only 1 skill point into this. This is an escape skill when you find yourself at a fatal position or trapped near a wall. There are creatures in this game that can knock you into a wall, which is a bug. Ember phase can actually save you from being knocked into a wall.

Ember Sentry: I maxed this out because it simply adds damage to my army of minions.

Ember Shield: I maxed this out because it simply mitigates damage.

Infuse: I maxed this out to increase my pistol damage.

Priority 4 Skills:

Adventurer: I try to max this skill A.S.A.P. because it will help you get skills alot faster. If you don't have enough damage output, then it is best to not invest in this entirely.

Barter: This makes everything much cheaper.

Treasure Hunter: This build is a magic find character, so this is a must-get skill. Max this out!

Advanced Spellcasting: I only put 2 points into this. You don't necessarily need it since you aren't casting mana consuming spells that use tremendous amounts of mana most of the time.

Default Skill:

Ember Bolt: This is only good in the beginning when you have no skills. Leave this at rank 1.

Pet

My pet Ferret, Treyzure. Set this pet at any desired stance. I picked "Aggressive Stance" because I want my pet involved in increasing damage.

Pet Equipment
and
Spells

My pet is always set to heal all my minions with "Heal All VI". On the side, my pet summons a flaming sword to diminish enemies' armor.

It is best to wear trinkets that increase defense and strength. Personally, I just find high defense trinkets and socket them with +strength gems. The name of the gem escapes me, but they are white gems that look like pearls. I believe the name of the gem is "Core-Ember"; to be safe, check if the stat adds +strength attribute bonus.

Fish

The type of fish that you feed your ferret is really a personal preference. I feed my ferret pocket fishes to turn it into a mimic. Mimics are slow and do alot of damage, as well as hold hefty amounts of health.

Inventory Items

I hold the best health potions and mana potions; I always hold 20 of each. As a precautionary step, I hold another stack of 20 health potions just in case my pet gets hurt badly. Before entering a dungeon, I make it certain that I always carry a stack of 20 identify scrolls because you'll notice that there are a ton of items that need to be revealed; it is rather daunting to skip from the dungeon to town via town portal, which is a huge loss of time. As for town portals, it is best to have at least 2 to 3; I'm fully stacked with 20 town portals because it is always nice to hold them. Remember, there is an unfixed bug that gives enemies the chance to knock you into a wall. A town portal can be used to escape this situation.
